The Marrugat Cava Brut Rose is a sparkling rosé wine from Spain, produced by the Bodegas Pinord winery
. Made from Garnacha grapes, it is known for its elegant red fruit flavors and lively bubbles.
Tasting notes
- Aroma: Gentle fragrance of red fruits, including raspberry and blackcurrant, with notes of aging on the lees.
- Taste: A full-bodied and lively mouthfeel with notes of red fruit that are also present on the nose. It has a long, elegant finish.
- Color and bubbles: Clear, red, and pinkish tones with small bubbles that form delicate strings.
Winemaking
- The grapes are fermented and macerated for over three weeks.
- A second fermentation takes place in the bottle, and the wine is aged for more than a year in the cellar.
- The Marrugat line was created in 1959 by Josep Maria Tetas as a tribute to his wife, Antonia Marrugat.
- Pinord produces its cavas in a modernist building with underground cellars in Vilafranca del Penedès.
